Louis Delongchamp
Provincial PC candidate
for the riding of Sudbury
|
Louis now 58 was born and raised in Sudbury where he attended Sacred Heart College, Laurentian University (BA)
and the University of Windsor (B. Comm.). He worked for a firm of Chartered Accountants in Ottawa prior to
teaching accounting courses at Algonquin College and at Cambrian College. He now manages family real estate
properties, is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, a board member of the Friends of the Museum of the
Flour Mill and a recent board member or the Sudbury Arts Council. His interest in and involvement with politics
through the Progressive Conservative party dates back many years.
He finds in John Tory a man he trust, a man with integrity, ability and strength. And with the province’s
standard of living declining, he finds John Tory to be the person capable of making Ontario great again.
He will help diversify northern economies with decentralization and Louis would like to persuade the new
John Tory government to move government offices to Sudbury.
John Tory says we need to build a new economic foundation for the North. Jobs have been diminishing in Sudbury's
mining sector and jobs have been disappearing in the forestry area. "We have the potential to considerably grow
Tourism in the North, if we apply the right dynamics. This will create new opportunities for small businesses
and new entrepreneurs. We can discover products that could be manufactured here ensuring many new permanent jobs
in the process."
